What is involved in Support Work?
As a support worker, you will assist individuals with learning impairments to live safe, satisfying, and dignified lives in supported housing or their own homes. In Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Camden, and Islington, they have open opportunities in a range of departments.
Each of our services provides support for around 5 to 10 individuals. They help individuals with a spectrum of support needs, ranging from low to severe, including those with old age/dementia, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism, and mental health issues. Additionally, they provide outreach assistance for individuals who are more independent. On a rotating basis, they work some weekends, early shifts, and late shifts. If you like to work at night, there are many services that offer awake night shifts.
